Thornhill, ON--July 19, 2010--For those who are still relatively knew to the VOC conversion process and are looking for a quick checklist of things to go through, here's a basic tip sheet everyone should be aware when working with low-VOC basecoats: 1. Relative humidity: The higher the humidity, the longer the paint wiill take to dry. 2. Temperature: If the temperature in the booth, can be increased, the relative humidity will drop. 3. Airflow: Good airflow will help remove the vapour barrier created on the surface of the wet paint film and help the paint to dry faster. 4. Clean compressed air: Making sure that air used to paint is clean will help to avoid possible contamination issues in the paint. 5. Storage: Consistent storage temperature will eliminate variances in paint viscosity and help to provide consistent performance. 6. Cleanliness: Avoid contamination issues in the spray booths by eliminating any additional air movement.
