Akzo Nobel Launches Sikkens Colorbuild Plus Print E-mail

NORCROSS, GA -- March 7, 2008 -- According to Akzo Nobel, the company has taken Sikkens Colorbuild to  whole new level. The new product line, Colorbuild Plus, is the next generation to the first true colour primer system introduced to the North American market.  
 
“This undercoat can be applied directly to metal, plastics and OEM coated panels,” said Dave Bly, Sikkens Global Product Manager. “The system is so much faster and easier. A prime example is that we have reduced the dry times by 50 per cent.” Akzo Nobel is a strong advocate of sustainable solutions to improve the environment therefore Sikkens Colorbuild Plus is VOC compliant. In addition, it offers the key benefit of color accuracy of the basecoat.  “Even the most difficult colors are no challenge for this system,” Bly said.  “It’s virtually a perfect match each and every time.”  

Also using Colorbuild Plus, no additional primer layer is needed and sanding is fast and easy.  “It also has an excellent flow that customers have come to expect of the Sikkens brand,” Bly said.

According to Akzo Nobel, the product sprays smoothly, has a high build and dries very fast as well. The company has also stated that because of the product’s superior coverage, fewer coats are actually needed to complete the repair.
